Donna Rawlins was raised in a musical family and came quite naturally to her talent. Along with her parents being a long standing performing duo, she and her two sisters are all independent professional singers. Donna came to Los Angeles by way of Chicago and formed the band, Trial By Fire with whom she toured internationally. In addition to acquiring various album credited vocal performances, her first solo CD entitled "Imitation Gold" (covering songs made famous by Momoe Yamaguchi) was released by Crown Records of Japan where it received critical and public acclaim. Early in her songwriting career BILLBOARD MAGAZINE singled Donna out with awards for "She Keeps Crying" and "I Wanna Be There" from her "Who's Resisting Who" CD, co-written with and produced by Hit Musik Productions' Elliot Anders. Donna then teamed up with Stacy Robin to co-front the band Imaginary Friends contributing her deeper mezzo vocals and playing rhythm guitar. In 1999 they released their debut CD, "What If." Collaborations with producer, Eliot Waldhorn of e5 Music Productions, have recently yielded licensed songs for national television shows, as well as the film, "Turn of Faith." Other film and TV performing and songwriting credits include, "That’s Life"(CBS), "And Never Let Her Go" (CBS miniseries,) "Melrose Place" (Fox), "Pink Nights" (New World Pictures) and "Motel Blue" (DeMartini Anderson Prods.) |
